About the role
Palo Alto Networks is hiring an early‑career AI Engineer to design and deliver agentic AI solutions that automate multi‑step business workflows across enterprise systems such as Salesforce, SAP and custom licensing platforms. Based in Bangalore, you will work on generative AI, LLM orchestration, retrieval‑augmented generation and tool‑calling within the company’s AI‑first engineering culture.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain agent workflows using frameworks like LangGraph, LangChain, AutoGen or CrewAI.
- Integrate agents with enterprise APIs (Salesforce, SAP, custom REST services) and manage data exchange via webhooks and message queues.
- Build RAG pipelines with vector stores such as pgvector, Pinecone or Weaviate to provide up‑to‑date context for LLMs.
- Create tool definitions and JSON schemas to enable deterministic function calls and traceability.
- Design evaluation suites, safety guardrails and human‑in‑the‑loop hand‑offs for reliable production deployment.
- Instrument agents for observability, capturing metrics, latency and token usage.

Eligibility
- 1–4 years of professional software engineering experience or equivalent demonstrated capability.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related technical field (B.E., B.Tech, M.Tech) or comparable practical experience.
- Strong proficiency in Python or TypeScript/Node.js and solid fundamentals in data structures and testing.
- Hands‑on experience with REST APIs, relational databases and asynchronous or queue‑based processing.
- Demonstrated work with LLM APIs, prompting, function calling and building end‑to‑end retrieval or agent pipelines.
