About the role

Onit is seeking an AI Engineer to design and deliver AI‑driven features for its legal‑tech platform. Based in Pune with a hybrid work model, you will build agentic LLM workflows, create robust context‑engineering pipelines, and ensure the reliability and safety of AI services.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and integrate LLM‑based capabilities using OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic or Gemini APIs.
  • Design tool‑using agents, multi‑agent workflows, and context‑assembly mechanisms.
  • Implement retrieval‑augmented generation, vector stores and embedding services.
  • Establish evaluation frameworks, build golden datasets and automated eval pipelines.
  • Create scalable backend services, APIs and observability stacks for AI features.
  • Collaborate with product, design and architecture teams to prototype and iterate AI solutions.
