Staff Software Engineer (UI)

About the role

Nextiva is looking for a senior frontend leader to own the redesign and modernization of its web applications. Based in Bangalore, you will shape React architecture, drive performance improvements, and maintain shared design systems for a platform serving over 100,000 businesses.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overhaul of existing web applications to boost speed and user experience.
• Translate UI/UX designs into scalable, high‑quality React components.
• Write clean, performant TypeScript/JavaScript code and ensure maintainability.
• Own feature delivery from concept through deployment, including CI/CD pipelines.
• Set and evolve frontend standards through architecture reviews and code reviews.
• Debug complex performance issues and optimise frontend rendering.
• Introduce modern tooling such as TanStack libraries and improve the monorepo setup.
• Maintain and extend a shared design system and component library.
• Mentor engineers, provide technical guidance, and step in as team lead when required.

Eligibility

• 9–12 years of professional frontend development experience.
• Strong expertise in React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
• Hands‑on experience with monorepo tools (Turborepo, pnpm, Nx) and Tailwind CSS.
• Proven track record in product‑focused environments and full product lifecycle.
• Solid computer‑science fundamentals and experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology or a related field (e.g., B.E, B.Tech, M.Tech) or equivalent experience.
