Software Engineer

About the role

Netsmart is looking for a Software Engineer to join its Bengaluru office. The role is ideal for recent graduates or candidates with up to one year of experience who possess solid programming fundamentals, SQL knowledge and an understanding of cloud‑based SaaS architectures. You will be part of a team that builds and maintains healthcare and financial software solutions delivered as SaaS.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the complete software development lifecycle, from requirement analysis and design to coding, testing and deployment.
• Design, develop and maintain database‑driven applications using relational databases and SQL scripting.
• Conduct code reviews, perform root‑cause analysis of defects and contribute to technical problem‑solving.
• Build and support cloud‑based SaaS solutions, ensuring scalability and availability.
• Gain familiarity with clinical and financial workflows and apply that knowledge to engineering tasks.
• Provide on‑call support on a rotational basis as needed.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Strong grasp of programming concepts and at least one programming language.
• Understanding of relational database design, data modeling and SQL.
• Basic knowledge of cloud‑based SaaS architecture principles.
• Ability to learn new technologies independently and meet deadlines with high quality.
• Technical internship experience in a software or healthcare organization is a plus.
