Software Engineer (Frontend Design)

About the role

We are seeking a frontend engineer who will design and build high‑performance web interfaces and design‑system components for N1’s blockchain platform. The role is based in New York City and focuses on creating responsive, visually appealing user experiences using modern React‑based technologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications with React, TypeScript and Next.js.
• Collaborate with designers to translate visual concepts into functional UI components.
• Build and evolve design systems and component libraries for consistent user flows.
• Ensure performance and responsiveness across browsers and devices.
• Participate in fast‑paced product cycles, shipping features quickly.
• Stay informed about blockchain, crypto and web3 trends to incorporate relevant ideas.

Eligibility

• Proven frontend development experience (typically 3+ years).
• Strong visual design sense, demonstrated through a portfolio or side projects.
• Experience working in startup or high‑growth engineering environments.
• Ability to work independently and wear multiple product‑focused hats.
• Interest or prior exposure to crypto, blockchain or web3 technologies is a plus.
