Architect Front-End Engineer (Next.js)

About the role

Lead the front‑end architecture and Next.js platform for a global stock media provider and AI data licensing ecosystem. The role is remote/hybrid across Europe, focusing on designing, building, and evolving high‑performance, scalable web applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, refactor, deploy and optimise front‑end services.
• Improve team processes by identifying bottlenecks and driving enhancements.
• Collaborate with product managers and leadership to shape product vision.
• Build simple, well‑tested systems that deliver immediate value and scale over time.
• Mentor team members through code reviews, pairing and knowledge sharing.

Eligibility

• 6+ years of hands‑on software engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript and Next.js.
• Proficiency with React and Node.js.
• Understanding of relational (SQL) and NoSQL databases.
• Experience writing unit, integration and end‑to‑end tests (Jest, Playwright, Selenium).
• Comfortable using AI tools in the development workflow.
• Experience in Agile environments with CI/CD pipelines.
