Information Security Trainee

About the role

Monotype is looking for an Information Security Trainee to join its Noida office. The role offers hands‑on experience in security investigations, threat analysis, vulnerability assessment, and incident response. Fresh graduates and candidates with some experience are welcomed, and the company provides training to build a solid foundation in cybersecurity.

Responsibilities

• Assist internal IT and engineering teams with security investigations and threat‑intelligence analysis.
• Identify and evaluate vulnerabilities across networks, systems, applications and cloud environments.
• Support malware remediation and configuration‑audit activities.
• Participate in breach‑response and security‑monitoring processes.
• Collaborate with technology vendors to address security findings.
• Prepare concise reports summarising investigation outcomes and recommended mitigations.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Information Security or a related discipline (B.E, B.Tech or B.Sc).
• Open to fresh graduates as well as candidates with relevant experience.
• Basic understanding of network, system, application and cloud security concepts.
• Familiarity with AWS security fundamentals is a plus.
• Strong analytical, communication and problem‑solving abilities.

Skills

• Fundamental knowledge of information security principles and controls.
• Basic network and systems security concepts.
• Awareness of application security risks and mitigation techniques.
• Understanding of cloud security, especially AWS IAM, logging and monitoring.
• Ability to analyse threat intelligence and assess risk.
• Effective written and verbal communication for reporting findings.
