Zycus is hiring fresh 2026 graduates for an AI‑Native Java Engineer graduate‑trainee position in Bangalore. The role blends core Java backend development with AI‑assisted engineering, letting you build micro‑services, REST APIs and production‑grade applications while leveraging tools like ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot and Gemini to boost productivity.

Responsibilities

• Utilise AI assistants for coding, debugging, testing and documentation, and practice prompt‑engineering to streamline workflows.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to design, develop and maintain Java‑based backend services using Spring Boot.
• Build, test and expose RESTful APIs and micro‑services, integrating with databases and external systems.
• Write clean, modular and testable code, participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
• Explore emerging AI tools and incorporate them into daily development practices.
• Gain exposure to AI‑driven enterprise workflows, agent‑based systems and automation platforms.

Eligibility

• BE/B.Tech graduate of the 2026 batch in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, AI/ML, Data Science or related streams.
• Minimum 80% (or equivalent CGPA) in 10th, 12th and undergraduate exams, with no active or past backlogs.
• Strong grasp of data structures, algorithms, OOP, DBMS, operating systems and computer networks.
• Proficiency in Java (or another OOP language) and good problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills and a keen interest in learning new technologies.
• Demonstrated involvement in AI‑assisted projects, hackathons, internships or open‑source contributions.

Skills

• Java programming and object‑oriented design.
• Spring Boot basics for backend development.
• Design and consumption of REST APIs.
• SQL and relational database concepts.
• Version control with Git.
• Data structures & algorithms, OOP principles.
• Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Cursor or Gemini.
