Lead Software Engineer - Frontend Developer

About the role

LSEG is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to head front‑end development for its financial market applications in Bangalore. You will architect, build, and evolve user‑facing solutions using Angular, TypeScript and related technologies, driving performance, reliability and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable web applications with Angular.
• Write clean, efficient, well‑tested code and ensure high performance.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate RESTful APIs.
• Own feature delivery end‑to‑end, guaranteeing quality and reliability.
• Participate in design discussions and influence technical decisions.
• Troubleshoot issues and implement secure development practices.
• Support automation, monitoring and modern deployment pipelines.
• Mentor teammates, share knowledge and foster a collaborative culture.
• Continuously explore new technologies and adapt solutions accordingly.

Eligibility

• 8+ years of software development experience, primarily front‑end.
• Deep expertise in Angular (latest versions), TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Proficiency with Node.js and REST API integration.
• Experience building responsive, accessible user interfaces.
• Hands‑on knowledge of SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle or MongoDB.
• Familiarity with Git, build pipelines and Jira for agile delivery.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication and leadership abilities.
