About the role

LSEG is looking for an early‑career software engineer to join its FTSE Russell team in Bangalore. You will work on the next‑generation index data platform, writing production‑grade Python code, building APIs and services, and learning cloud and data‑engineering practices while being mentored by senior engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop clean, maintainable Python code for data‑intensive applications.
  • Build and enhance services, APIs and shared libraries in a collaborative team.
  • Write automated tests and participate in code reviews to improve quality.
  • Investigate and fix bugs in production, using observability tools.
  • Work with Aurora PostgreSQL and AWS services such as Lambda and containerised workloads.
  • Contribute to design discussions and continuously grow engineering skills.
