About the role

Kulfi is looking for a fresh‑graduate Software Engineer I to build and ship small product features across its app, web, API, and data layers. You will turn design intent into complete user flows, debug across client and backend, write tests, and use AI‑assisted coding tools while working on‑site in Jayanagar, Bengaluru.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver end‑to‑end product features spanning mobile/web, API, and data components.
  • Translate product and design specifications into full user experiences, handling loading, empty, error, and retry states.
  • Investigate and resolve issues across client, network, backend, and data layers.
  • Write unit/integration tests, review code changes, and verify behavior before handoff.
  • Analyze user feedback and product metrics to assess release impact.
  • Leverage AI coding assistants responsibly while maintaining ownership of all shipped code.
  • Communicate blockers early, ask precise questions, and incorporate direct feedback.

Eligibility

  • Completed at least one real software project—internship, freelance, open‑source, or personal.
  • Ability to write clear, readable code and debug without over‑reliance on autocomplete.
  • Experience working across at least two layers such as mobile/web, backend/API, database, or deployment.
  • Attention to product details and awareness of user‑experience impact.
  • Fast execution mindset combined with thorough testing and accountability.
  • Effective communication of contributions, trade‑offs, and improvement ideas.
  • Willingness to work on‑site in Jayanagar, Bengaluru; formal CS degree not mandatory.
