Senior Software Development Engineer - Web (AdTech)

About the role

As a Senior Software Development Engineer for JioHotstar, you will design and deliver high‑scale ad‑tech web applications that power video streaming and TV experiences. Working with React, TypeScript and a robust design system, you will ensure fast, reliable, and visually consistent user interfaces across browsers and devices.

Responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end feature development, from design through delivery, for user‑facing ad‑tech components.
• Collaborate with product stakeholders to translate UI/UX designs into functional web features.
• Validate technical feasibility of designs and implement them using modern frontend frameworks.
• Build reusable code libraries and contribute to the in‑house design system.
• Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and maintain high operational excellence.
• Document solutions with diagrams, comments, and clear documentation.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices.
• Optimize applications for devices with limited memory and network constraints.

Eligibility

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 4–7 years of professional experience as a frontend developer.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, HTML, and CSS.

Skills

• Deep understanding of browser internals and performance optimization.
• Experience with design and architecture patterns for large‑scale web applications.
• Proficiency with Git and version control workflows.
• Ability to work with external vendors and cross‑functional teams.
• Enthusiasm for learning new frameworks and contributing to open‑source projects.
