Junior Software Developer (Contract)

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Software Developer on a contract basis to build and maintain backend utilities and command‑line tools that streamline engineering workflows. The role involves writing Python and C++ code, automating builds, and ensuring smooth operation across Linux and Windows environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimise backend code and CLI utilities using Python and C++.
• Refactor legacy scripts to run reliably on both Linux and Windows (WSL2) by replacing hard‑coded OS dependencies.
• Handle data interchange by working with JSON, XML, and YAML formats to standardise tool communication.
• Create automated validation scripts and integrate them into Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
• Enhance developer experience by adding clear error messages and actionable fix hints.
• Write unit tests and support automated stress testing to verify software stability.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Recent graduates or candidates with 1‑2 years of relevant experience.
• Strong problem‑solving attitude and eagerness to learn.
