Assistant Engineer

About the role

The Assistant Engineer position at Infineon focuses on semiconductor validation and characterization. Based in Bangalore, the role involves developing test lists, automating bench measurements, and supporting both pre‑silicon (FPGA) and post‑silicon validation for microcontroller and SoC products.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute test plans for analog, digital and mixed‑signal IP blocks.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python and LabVIEW to control SMUs, DMMs, oscilloscopes and signal generators.
• Perform bench characterization, collect measurement data, and analyze results against specifications.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to debug silicon issues and propose corrective actions.
• Support FPGA‑based pre‑silicon validation and post‑silicon verification activities.
• Document test procedures, results and provide clear reports to stakeholders.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline (B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech).
• 0–3 years of relevant experience.
• Hands‑on experience with laboratory equipment such as SMUs, DMMs, oscilloscopes and signal generators.
• Proficiency in C and Python programming; LabVIEW knowledge is a strong plus.
• Good understanding of electronic circuits, regulators and reference measurements.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
