Senior Frontend Engineer

About the role

HTTPie is looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to work remotely from anywhere in the world. You will create and enhance developer‑focused web and desktop API testing tools using React, Next.js, TypeScript and Electron, delivering a smooth experience for engineers who interact with HTTP APIs.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain the web interface of HTTPie’s API testing platform using React, Next.js and TypeScript.
• Build and ship the cross‑platform desktop client with Electron, ensuring feature parity with the web version.
• Collaborate with product, backend and design teams to translate requirements into high‑quality, performant UI components.
• Write clean, testable code and participate in code reviews to uphold engineering standards.

Eligibility

• At least 5 years of professional experience in frontend development.
• Proven expertise in React, TypeScript, Next.js, and Electron.
• Strong command of JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote, globally distributed environment.
