Senior Consultant Specialist – Frontend (React, Redux, JavaScript, HTML)

About the role

HSBC is looking for a seasoned Frontend Consultant Specialist to lead the design and delivery of high‑performance web applications for its corporate payments platform. You will own end‑to‑end architecture, guide technical standards, and mentor a distributed team while working in a hybrid setting from Pune.

Responsibilities

• Design low‑level and high‑level solutions using React, Redux and Node.js, ensuring scalability and performance.
• Drive technical direction for pods, enforce secure coding practices, and conduct thorough code reviews.
• Produce detailed design artefacts, including pseudo‑code, diagrams and documentation.
• Collaborate with backend teams to integrate REST APIs and handle async data flows.
• Monitor alerting, recovery and performance metrics, and address production incidents swiftly.
• Mentor junior engineers, foster a learning culture, and coordinate cross‑team deliveries.

Eligibility

• 10‑15 years of hands‑on experience with React, Redux and Node.js.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in JavaScript, HTML, CSS and modern UI build tools (NPM, Grunt, Gulp).
• Strong background in testing frameworks such as Mocha, Jasmine, Jest and Chai.
• Proven track record of leading medium to large scale projects in an Agile environment.
• B.E, B.Tech or MCA (or equivalent) degree.
