ReactJS / Consultant Specialist

About the role

HSBC is looking for a seasoned Consultant Specialist to lead an agile POD in Pune, driving technical design, architecture, and delivery of modern ReactJS‑based digital banking solutions. You will own end‑to‑end development, guide a team of engineers, and ensure high‑quality, scalable applications across the full delivery lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Define and own technical architecture, steering transformation and adoption of future‑state solutions.
• Lead the POD, providing direction and collaboration to achieve business outcomes.
• Design, develop, maintain, and support enterprise applications with a focus on ReactJS and modern UI technologies.
• Build scalable services using JavaScript, Core Java, Java 8, Spring Boot, microservices, and JUnit.
• Drive DevOps automation, improving development, testing, deployment, and operational processes.
• Review deliverables to ensure reliability, reusability, scalability, and supportability.
• Investigate defects and production incidents, delivering sustainable fixes.
• Participate across the delivery lifecycle from analysis and estimation to release and production rollout.
• Collaborate with global stakeholders to craft strategic solutions and enhance technical capability.

Eligibility

• Minimum 8 years of hands‑on experience with ReactJS, JavaScript, Core Java, Java 8, Spring Boot, microservices and JUnit.
• Proficiency with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, Maven, SonarQube, Checkmarx, Splunk and AppDynamics.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities for enterprise platforms.
• Experience in Agile and DevOps delivery models, building modular and maintainable software.
• Proven ability to lead modules or projects end‑to‑end, covering estimation, planning, delivery and production support.
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence and cloud platforms like AWS or GCP.
• Banking domain exposure or solid understanding of financial‑services environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills across global teams.
