About the role

Hitachi Energy seeks a Computer Science Engineering graduate to manage and support enterprise applications, manufacturing execution systems, and digital factory platforms for its operations in Maneja, Gujarat. The position involves ensuring high availability, handling upgrades, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to drive Industry 4.0 initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and support factory and engineering applications, including ERP, MES, and quality systems.
  • Coordinate application upgrades, patches, and enhancements while ensuring compliance and documentation.
  • Work with manufacturing, engineering, and operations teams to gather requirements and implement digitalization projects.
  • Assist in IT/OT integration, linking industrial networks, PLC/SCADA, and IoT solutions.
  • Develop reports and dashboards using SQL databases and Power BI.
  • Support cybersecurity measures, user access management, and backup/recovery processes.

Eligibility

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Engineering, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 3 to 8 years of experience in IT applications, manufacturing IT, or industrial systems.

Skills

  • Application lifecycle, change and release management.
  • Familiarity with ERP platforms such as SAP or Oracle.
  • Understanding of MES, production, quality, and warehouse management systems.
  • Basic knowledge of OT environments, industrial networks, PLC/SCADA, and OPC‑UA.
  • SQL Server, Oracle or PostgreSQL and reporting tools like Power BI.
  • Programming/scripting in Python, C#, Java or PowerShell.
