About the role

Softura is seeking a Software Engineer to build cloud‑native, micro‑service applications on AWS. The role involves developing in Java or Python, containerising workloads, and collaborating with agile teams to deliver secure, scalable enterprise solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, code, test and maintain Java/Python applications and associated frameworks.
  • Develop and operate micro‑service solutions deployed on AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway and EKS.
  • Implement event‑driven patterns using SQS, SNS, EventBridge or Kafka.
  • Create container images with Docker and orchestrate them on Kubernetes (EKS).
  • Write infrastructure as code with Terraform and set up CI/CD pipelines via GitHub Actions.
  • Collaborate with product owners, architects, QA and senior engineers for code reviews and production support.

Eligibility

  • Minimum three years of professional software development experience.
  • Proven ability to work in agile, cross‑functional teams.

Skills

  • Java and/or Python programming.
  • AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, EKS, S3, IAM, DynamoDB, CloudWatch).
  • Docker and Kubernetes for containerisation.
  • Terraform for infrastructure provisioning.
  • GitHub Actions for CI/CD.
  • PostgreSQL and MongoDB database expertise.
