About the role

Hitachi Vantara is hiring a Backend Web Developer to build and maintain middleware services that power its sales‑process tools. Working remotely from India, you will create secure, scalable APIs using Python and Django, collaborate with product, design and frontend teams, and help shape the future of the platform.

Responsibilities

Design, develop and deploy robust web applications with Python/Django and Django‑REST‑Framework.
Write clean, maintainable code and follow coding standards.
Define and manage database schemas, write efficient SQL/ORM queries and build RESTful APIs.
Debug issues, optimise performance and resolve bottlenecks.
Partner with DevOps to release services on cloud infrastructure.
Stay current with emerging web technologies and best practices.

Eligibility

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline.
