About the role

The Systems/Software Engineer I (Lab Engineer I) works onsite at HPE's Bangalore lab, handling hardware and software issues, maintaining lab equipment, and supporting network infrastructure. You will install devices, rebuild systems, manage virtual machines, and mentor junior staff while ensuring a safe, organized environment.

Responsibilities

Install and configure network and computer equipment in the lab.
Re‑install software on lab devices and add new assets to the inventory system.
Troubleshoot and replace faulty hardware components.
Design, modify, and document lab topologies.
Create and deploy virtual machines using ESX vCenter.
Maintain lab cleanliness, cable management, and compliance with safety policies.

Eligibility

Hands‑on experience with Unix/Linux systems.
Basic understanding of networking concepts.
Ability to configure and troubleshoot Junos‑based routers.
Willingness to pursue Juniper certification.
