SW Development Engineer

About the role

Harmonic is seeking a Software Development Engineer to design and implement embedded solutions for video streaming and broadband services. The role involves working on Linux‑based platforms, collaborating in Agile teams, and contributing to micro‑service and container‑based components.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain C/C++ and Python code for embedded Linux environments.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and deliver features in iterative sprints.
• Design, test, and integrate networking functionalities, including L2 forwarding.
• Work with container technologies such as Docker to build micro‑service architectures.
• Collaborate with hardware and firmware teams to ensure seamless integration.

Eligibility

• B.E. or B.Tech degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or related field.
• 1‑3 years of professional experience as a software developer.
• Strong command of C/C++ and Python programming.
• Hands‑on experience with Embedded Linux and Agile methodologies.
