Junior C++ Engineer

About the role

Harmonic is seeking a Junior C++ Engineer to join its networking team in Bangalore. You will design and implement features for MAC and upper‑layer protocols, work on Linux‑based containerized solutions, and collaborate in an Agile environment to deliver high‑performance broadband software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance C/C++ components for MAC and upper‑layer protocol stacks.
• Build and maintain Linux server applications using container technologies such as Kubernetes.
• Debug and resolve complex issues reported by QA teams and customers.
• Participate in Agile planning, development sprints, and feature delivery.

Eligibility

• B.E./B.Tech./M.E./M.Tech in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering or related fields.
• 1‑3 years of professional experience developing software in C++.
• Strong grasp of multithreading, object‑oriented design and design patterns.
• Good understanding of networking concepts and hands‑on experience with networking applications.
• Proficiency in Linux development, debugging and performance tuning.
• Experience with Python for scripting or automation; familiarity with DOCSIS is a plus.
