About the role

Gway Tech Solutions is seeking a DevOps Engineer to manage and automate the deployment lifecycle of its ERP platform. You will ensure high‑availability of Linux‑based environments, maintain Docker containers, and support developers by streamlining CI/CD pipelines across on‑premise and cloud infrastructures.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain server health, resource usage, and network configurations.
  • Administer Ubuntu/Linux servers, user permissions, SSH, and firewall settings.
  • Build, configure, and manage Docker containers, images, volumes, and Docker‑Compose setups.
  • Maintain Jenkins jobs, credentials, and deployment pipelines; troubleshoot build and deployment failures.
  • Create and document release packages, support application updates, database migrations, and rollback procedures.
  • Implement backup, recovery, and monitoring for MongoDB, Redis and other services.
  • Enforce security hardening, secret management, and container security best practices.
  • Develop scripts (Shell/Bash) and explore automation tools such as Ansible or Terraform.
  • Collaborate with developers and QA to provision and troubleshoot development, testing, and staging environments.
  • Continuously research and propose improvements to increase deployment speed, reliability, and standardization.

Eligibility

  • Graduated with a relevant engineering or computer science degree (B.E, B.Tech, B.Sc, MCA or equivalent).
  • 1–2 years of hands‑on experience in Linux system administration and Docker.
  • Basic exposure to CI/CD tools, especially Jenkins.
  • Familiarity with Git/GitHub workflows and basic networking concepts.
  • Strong problem‑solving attitude and willingness to learn new technologies.
