Software Engineer II, Google Cloud

About the role

Google Cloud is looking for a Software Engineer II to design, develop, and maintain large‑scale cloud services. You will work on critical infrastructure projects, write high‑quality code, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver reliable, high‑performance solutions that power billions of users worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable software components for Google Cloud.
• Write clean, efficient code and keep system documentation up to date.
• Conduct peer code reviews following Google’s style and quality guidelines.
• Diagnose and resolve complex system issues, considering hardware and network impacts.
• Collaborate with AI, infrastructure, and other teams to enhance cloud capabilities.
• Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables independently.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 1 year of professional software development experience.
• Graduates from the 2024, 2025 or 2026 batches are eligible.

Skills

• Proficiency in one or more languages: Java, Python, C++, C, JavaScript, or Go.
• Understanding of distributed computing, networking, and data storage concepts.
• Interest in AI, machine learning, or natural language processing.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and leadership mindset.
