About the role

Google is hiring a Silicon Engineer to design, verify, and implement custom silicon components and optimized SoCs for Google-branded consumer devices.

Responsibilities

Design power-optimized and performance-tuned microchips
Contribute to the design, functional verification, and physical silicon implementation of custom ASICs and complex SoCs
Develop design concepts centered around CPUs, image signal processors, machine learning accelerators, computer vision, video hardware, and hardware-level security modules

Eligibility

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, or a relevant technical discipline
Foundational knowledge of hardware architecture, digital circuit design concepts, and computer organization

Skills

Hands-on experience with hardware description language code using Verilog, SystemVerilog, or VHDL
Familiarity with scripting languages for automated chip design workflows
