Silicon Engineer

About the role

Google is hiring a Silicon Engineer to design, verify, and implement custom silicon components and optimized SoCs for Google-branded consumer devices.

Responsibilities

• Design power-optimized and performance-tuned microchips
• Contribute to the design, functional verification, and physical silicon implementation of custom ASICs and complex SoCs
• Develop design concepts centered around CPUs, image signal processors, machine learning accelerators, computer vision, video hardware, and hardware-level security modules

Eligibility

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, or a relevant technical discipline
• Foundational knowledge of hardware architecture, digital circuit design concepts, and computer organization

Skills

• Hands-on experience with hardware description language code using Verilog, SystemVerilog, or VHDL
• Familiarity with scripting languages for automated chip design workflows
