About the role

Freshworks is looking for a Revenue Accounting Lead to own and improve revenue reporting across multiple streams, partner with billing and analytics teams, and drive automation and SOX compliance in a fast‑moving environment.

Responsibilities

Lead accounting, analysis and reporting for on‑prem, subscription, marketplace and reseller revenue.
Collaborate with Billings, IT BizApps and Analytics to remove bottlenecks and implement process improvements.
Drive continuous transformation of revenue reporting processes for scalability.
Provide high‑level financial insights and support business unit reporting.
Own financial system architecture, lead report testing and system changes.
Handle ad‑hoc analysis requests and external audit queries.

Eligibility

Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification.
Minimum 6 years of experience in revenue accounting, financial operations or audit.
Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and SOX/ICFR controls.
Proven ability to lead process‑automation projects.

Skills

Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency.
Experience with NetSuite, ChargeBee and Salesforce (preferred).
Excellent analytical and communication abilities.
Adaptability to shift across functional areas as needed.
