Senior Software Engineer, Consumer Revenue

About the role

Discord is seeking a senior engineer to own and evolve premium experiences such as Nitro, the shop, and boosting. The role spans the full stack, requiring strong front‑end expertise in React/React Native and solid backend skills in Python, while collaborating closely with product, design, data science and marketing teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and iterate on premium Discord features across web, Android and iOS.
• Lead projects from requirement gathering through technical specification to delivery, partnering with product and design.
• Collaborate with full‑stack peers to ship new functionality and maintain high performance.
• Drive complex initiatives in ambiguous environments and prototype rapidly.
• Apply data‑driven experimentation to improve user engagement and revenue.
• Mentor junior engineers and champion best practices in code quality and performance.

Eligibility

• Minimum 5 years of software engineering experience.
• Proven full‑stack proficiency with React, React Native, TypeScript and Python.
• Willingness to reside in or relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area.
• Strong product sense and ability to empathize with both free and premium users.
