Software Engineering Intern – AI & Data

About the role

FreightTiger is looking for a motivated Software Engineering Intern focused on AI & Data. Based in Bangalore, you will spend six months building LLM‑powered agents, designing real‑time data pipelines, and writing production‑grade Python code. The role offers a hybrid/remote setup, immediate joining, and a stipend of up to ₹25,000 per month.

Responsibilities

• Develop LLM‑driven agents with tool use, multi‑step planning and retrieval‑augmented generation.
• Write clean, maintainable Python code for backend services and data‑processing workflows.
• Design, implement and optimise high‑volume real‑time data pipelines and streaming architectures.
• Apply data structures and algorithms to solve engineering challenges at scale.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and product teams throughout the full product lifecycle.
• Participate in testing, debugging and performance evaluation of AI‑enabled features.

Eligibility

• Final‑year student or recent graduate from IIT, NIT, BITS, IIIT or an equivalent top‑tier institute.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures and algorithms.
• Practical or academic experience with Python.
• Genuine interest in artificial intelligence, large language models and data systems.
• Ability to join immediately.

Skills
