Technology Engineering Trainee – Entry

About the role

Equifax is looking for enthusiastic early‑career engineers to join its Pune centre as Technology Engineering Trainees. You will be part of a hybrid team that designs, builds, tests and maintains software solutions, applying modern engineering practices such as test‑driven development, behaviour‑driven development and continuous integration/continuous delivery.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain scalable software applications.
• Translate functional and technical specifications into detailed architecture and code.
• Apply TDD/BDD techniques, write automated tests and participate in code and design reviews.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, contribute to technical discussions and uphold engineering standards.
• Gain exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP), containerisation (Docker) and infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, Chef).
• Assist in improving system reliability, performance and scalability.

Eligibility

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technology field.
• Graduation date listed as June 2024 (candidates should verify the exact eligibility window).
• Hands‑on experience or coursework in Java or Python.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable code and debug complex issues.
• Familiarity with modern SDLC practices, CI/CD pipelines and version‑control systems.

Skills

• Proficiency in Java or Python programming.
• Understanding of TDD, BDD and automated testing frameworks.
• Experience with CI/CD concepts and tools such as Jenkins or GoCD.
• Basic knowledge of cloud services (AWS, GCP) and container technologies.
• Strong problem‑solving, debugging and code‑review capabilities.
