Graduate Engineer Trainee

About the role

Emerson is seeking a Graduate Engineer Trainee to collaborate closely with a Technical Lead to construct, optimize, and support robust enterprise applications.

Responsibilities

• Application Development: Build, enhance, and support desktop Windows (WinForm) applications, custom Windows services, Web Services, and relational database programming modules on the Microsoft platform.
• Quality Assurance: Perform systematic Unit Testing and Integration Testing to verify all functional requirements are implemented securely, within budget, and on schedule.
• Requirement Analysis: Thoroughly analyze client requirements to prepare clear Requirement Understanding documents and execute precise technical impact analyses.
• Architectural Design: Apply Object-Oriented Programming (OOPs) principles effectively and implement modern software design patterns.
• Risk Management: Proactively identify system blockers or technical risks, raising concerns at the appropriate time with cross-functional collaborators.
• Progress Accountability: Maintain structured communication channels and execute routine status/progress reporting for management review.

Eligibility

• Education: B.E. / B.Tech (Information Technology, Computer Science, Instrumentation, Electronics), MCA, MCS, or M.Sc in Computer Science or a compatible field.
• Experience: 0 to 1 year of software development exposure or strong academic project experience.
• Core Technical Skills: Foundational familiarity with Windows (WinForm) applications running on C#, VB, VBA, or Java, along with structural database programming skills using SQL.
