Software Engineer (Testing)

About the role

EmbedUR Systems is hiring fresh 2026 B.E/B.Tech graduates for a Software Engineer (Testing) position in Chennai. The role focuses on learning software quality fundamentals, executing manual test cases, reporting defects and gradually adopting automation tools while collaborating with development teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, write and execute manual test cases covering functional, regression and integration scenarios.
• Log defects with clear reproduction steps and work with developers to verify fixes.
• Assist in creating simple test automation scripts using tools such as Selenium or Playwright.
• Analyse test results, identify patterns and suggest improvements.
• Communicate testing progress and issues effectively to the team.
• Continuously learn new testing techniques and embedded technology concepts.

Eligibility

• B.E or B.Tech graduate from the 2026 batch.
• Eligible branches: CSE, ECE, EEE, IT or related computer specialisations.
• Minimum 80% academic score with no backlogs.
• Freshers with strong analytical and communication abilities.
• Willingness to learn new tools and adapt to different programming environments.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.

Skills
