Software Engineer

About the role

Copart is seeking a Software Engineer to join its Hyderabad development team. You will work on building and enhancing web applications that power the company’s online vehicle auction platform, collaborating with senior engineers and following agile practices.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior engineers to design and improve web applications using React and Node.js.
• Develop clean, reusable code and RESTful APIs with Express, adhering to performance and scalability standards.
• Write and optimise SQL queries for MariaDB databases.
• Maintain version control with Git and automate builds and deployments via GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint goals.
• Seek mentorship and continuously learn micro‑services architecture and best coding practices.

Eligibility

• Strong foundation in JavaScript/TypeScript, React and Node.js.
• Basic understanding of SQL and MariaDB database queries.
• Familiarity with Git version control and CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions.
• Growth mindset with willingness to adapt and learn new technologies.
• Good problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and openness to feedback.
