Remote Full Stack Developer (Frontend-Focused) - Brazil

About the role

Brafton is seeking a senior‑level full stack developer who will primarily craft high‑quality, responsive front‑end experiences while also handling back‑end integrations within WordPress and Drupal environments. The position is fully remote, serving Brazil‑based clients, and involves close collaboration with designers and consultants to deliver fast, accessible websites.

Responsibilities

• Develop custom WordPress themes, Gutenberg blocks (ACF or React‑based) and plugins from design specifications.
• Convert mockups into responsive, accessible front‑end code using HTML, CSS/SASS, and modern JavaScript.
• Theme and customize Drupal sites, create content types, and troubleshoot module‑level issues.
• Identify and resolve front‑end and back‑end bugs across multiple CMS platforms.
• Work directly with designers, consultants, and occasionally clients to refine implementations.
• Leverage AI tools such as Claude Code to plan and execute large‑scale project components.

Eligibility

• Minimum 5 years of professional front‑end development experience.
• At least 3 years building and customizing WordPress sites, including Gutenberg block development.
• Strong proficiency in PHP (7.x/8.x) for reading, debugging, and extending WordPress/Drupal codebases.
• Practical experience with Drupal theming or module development.
• Good understanding of LAMP‑stack conventions, MySQL, and version control with Git.
• Excellent communication skills and comfort working remotely in a client‑facing environment.
• Familiarity with AI‑assisted coding tools such as Claude Code.
