Senior Software Engineer (TypeScript / Frontend) - AI/ML

About the role

As a Senior Frontend Engineer you will craft intuitive, high‑performance user interfaces for ClickHouse Cloud’s AI/ML suite. Working remotely from Australia, you will translate complex machine‑learning capabilities into accessible web experiences, collaborating closely with backend, data and product teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement AI‑powered features spanning backend inference services to responsive frontend components.
• Build and maintain scalable APIs that bridge ClickHouse’s database engine with modern AI/ML inference systems.
• Integrate and support connections to external AI/ML frameworks, ensuring seamless interoperability.
• Deploy models in production with proper monitoring, versioning, and observability.
• Participate in a daytime on‑call rotation to support platform reliability.
• Develop clean, responsive UI/UX that makes advanced AI functions usable for diverse users.

Eligibility

• Minimum 5 years of professional software engineering experience in production environments.
• Strong frontend expertise with TypeScript, JavaScript and React.
• Hands‑on exposure to AI/ML technologies and model integration.
• Demonstrated ownership, delivering features from concept through production with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
