Software Engineer

About the role

CISCO Systems is looking for dynamic engineering graduates and early-career software developers who are well-versed in frontend technologies like JavaScript, TypeScript, and React, alongside exposure to robust backend infrastructures.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with your immediate team to design, build, and deploy small-to-medium software features from initial technical scoping through to final launch.
• Apply complete understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and execute agile methodologies including requirements analysis, test planning, design creation, and unit testing.
• Write robust, functional, and exceptionally clean source code alongside writing comprehensive Unit Tests and End-to-End (E2E) testing suites.
• Participate actively in systematic code review sessions, addressing automated feedback, and assisting peers in maintaining architectural consistency.

Eligibility

• Minimum Qualifications & Prerequisites: Must hold a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2 years of related professional software development experience, **OR** a Master’s degree (M.E / M.Tech / MS) with 0 years of experience (2026 freshers welcome).
• Core Technical Theories: Strong foundational knowledge of core software development theories, computer science principles, data structures, and algorithmic concepts.
• Frontend Competencies: Hands-on operational experience or advanced project exposure utilizing JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks, combined with direct experience in React, Angular, or similar modern web development technologies.
