Associate Software Engineer

About the role

CGI is seeking a fresh graduate to join its Hyderabad team as an Associate Software Engineer. You will build Java‑based microservices and APIs, integrate generative AI and large language models, and help deliver intelligent workflows using modern cloud and CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Java applications, microservices and RESTful APIs with Spring Boot.
• Integrate generative AI services, LLMs and Retrieval‑Augmented Generation solutions into enterprise products.
• Build backend support for AI‑driven chatbots, virtual assistants and workflow automation.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on AI agent orchestration, prompt engineering and model optimisation.
• Deploy, monitor and manage AI workloads on cloud platforms using containers and CI/CD pipelines.
• Participate in testing, debugging, performance tuning and code reviews.
• Produce technical documentation and developer guides for AI and Java solutions.
• Engage in agile ceremonies and continuous learning activities.

Eligibility

• Open to fresh graduates (2024‑2026 batch).
• Any engineering or science degree (B.E, B.Tech, B.Sc) or equivalent.
