About the role

As a Lead UI Engineer, you will be at the intersection of science and software. You will work with a multidisciplinary team of designers and scientists to enhance Orion's UI capabilities. This role involves tackling unique challenges in scientific visualization, collaboration, and high-performance data management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of complex, interactive 3D modeling interfaces in the browser.
• Collaborate across time zones with development, science, and design peers.
• Troubleshoot and debug intricate software systems to ensure enterprise-grade stability.
• Push the boundaries of web technologies like WebGL and WebAssembly for scientific use cases.
• Maintain high standards of integrity and excellence within a collaborative, energetic environment.

Eligibility

• 5+ years of professional experience in developing complex software systems.
• Deep knowledge of TypeScript, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
• Proficiency in the Vue ecosystem (Vue, Pinia, Nuxt).
• Solid grasp of data structures and algorithms.
• A passion for learning new technologies and a problem-solving attitude.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, or a related scientific field (Biology/Chemistry).
