About the role

Bottomline is seeking a Forward‑Deployed AI Engineer to turn business problems into AI solutions that run directly inside Snowflake. The role focuses on end‑to‑end model development, from feature engineering to production deployment, and involves close interaction with stakeholders and data engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Design AI solutions for use‑cases such as churn prediction, propensity scoring, anomaly detection and document intelligence using Snowflake‑native tools.
  • Build, train and evaluate models with Snowpark ML, Snowflake ML Functions and Cortex AI.
  • Develop Cortex Agents, Cortex Search services and semantic views to enable natural‑language data access.
  • Create robust evaluation frameworks, including golden datasets and human‑in‑the‑loop reviews.
  • Collaborate with AI and data engineers for platform plumbing while you focus on the science.
  • Present findings and recommendations to business stakeholders in clear, non‑technical language.

Eligibility

  • 3‑4 years of experience in data science, machine learning or applied AI.
  • Strong Python skills (pandas, scikit‑learn, numpy) and fluency in SQL.
  • Proven ability to build classification or regression models and evaluate them rigorously.
  • Experience with at least one domain: NLP, document extraction, recommendation systems or anomaly detection.
  • Excellent communication skills and comfort working directly with business owners.
