About the role

Barclays is looking for a Service Operations Support Engineer in Pune to act as the primary liaison between business, technology and security teams. The role focuses on safeguarding information confidentiality, integrity and availability while helping the bank mitigate security risks.

Responsibilities

  • Work with stakeholders to capture security requirements for business processes and IT projects.
  • Conduct risk assessments, prioritize threats and advise senior leaders on mitigation strategies.
  • Develop, implement and monitor security policies and controls across the bank’s IT landscape.
  • Deliver training and awareness sessions to improve cybersecurity hygiene among employees.
  • Lead the handling of complex security incidents, coordinating with IT and response experts.
  • Track emerging security trends and recommend new solutions to strengthen the bank’s defenses.

Eligibility

  • Strong technical foundation in cybersecurity concepts and practices.
  • Ability to communicate technical and risk information clearly to senior stakeholders.
  • Leadership or advisory capability, depending on whether the role is a team lead or individual contributor.
