About the role

As a Principal Frontend Software Engineer at Atlassian, you will lead the architecture and development of the Jira Align frontend platform, driving enterprise agility solutions for global customers. This remote role leverages React, TypeScript, and modern web technologies to deliver high‑performance, scalable user experiences.

Responsibilities

Define and own the frontend architecture for Jira Align.
Design and implement reusable React components using TypeScript.
Mentor and guide engineering teams on best practices.
Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to deliver end‑to‑end features.
Ensure performance, accessibility, and scalability of the UI.
Drive engineering standards and code quality across the organization.

Eligibility

10+ years of professional frontend development experience.
Deep expertise in React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
Proven experience in architecting large‑scale web applications.
Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed environment.
