Frontend Software Engineer, II

About the role

Atlassian is seeking a Frontend Software Engineer II to develop high‑performance web applications and tooling for its cloud suite, including Jira and Confluence. The position is fully remote within India and requires deep expertise in modern JavaScript frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable frontend features for Atlassian cloud products.
• Build and maintain reusable UI components using React, TypeScript and modern web standards.
• Optimize application performance and load times across browsers.
• Create internal tooling to improve developer productivity and code quality.
• Collaborate with product, design and backend teams to deliver end‑to‑end solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices.

Eligibility

• Minimum 4 years of professional experience in frontend development.
• Proven ability to work remotely and deliver high‑quality code.
• Strong command of JavaScript, TypeScript, React, HTML5 and CSS3.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
