About the role

Aptean is seeking an ambitious and forward-thinking Engineer, Development to join its technology development center in Madurai, Tamil Nadu.

Responsibilities

• Code Writing & Debugging: Draft, refine, and debug application layers using core programming languages including Python, Java, C#, C++, or JavaScript.
• AI Optimization Architecture: Use large language models to systematically dissect, analyze, and optimize application codebases, scaling efficiency metrics across product streams.
• AI Bug Analysis: Integrate advanced AI bug analyzers and diagnostic prompts into daily routines to catch logical flaws, memory errors, and production discrepancies.
• Workflow Automation: Leverage automated tools to script repetitive tasks, boosting developer throughput while sustaining deep structural code quality.
• Engineering Mentorship: Collaborate directly with senior staff engineers and engineering leads to learn complex architecture patterns and manage ERP product life cycles.

Eligibility

• Educational Profile: Must hold an undergraduate degree in engineering (B.E / B.Tech) from a recognized institution.
• Experience Profile: 0 to 2 years of professional software development experience.
• AI Tools & Foundations: Hands-on experience working directly with leading foundational AI models (such as GPT, Claude, and Gemini).

Skills

• AI-Powered Development IDEs: Familiarity with next-generation AI assistants and coding extensions like GitHub Copilot, Cline, V0, and Windsurf.
• Development Environments: Solid proficiency and day-to-day command of the VS Code IDE is mandatory.
• Adaptability Profile: Proven capability to quickly decipher and learn legacy code architectures, unfamiliar programming frameworks, or new syntax using systemic AI prompt strategies.
