About the role

Altera Digital Health is looking for a Security Engineer who will own the design, support, and continuous improvement of identity and access management services. The position focuses on Active Directory, Microsoft Entra, and related enterprise applications, leveraging automation and AI‑driven tools to streamline operations and strengthen security.

Responsibilities

Administer and fine‑tune Active Directory and Entra ID, handling authentication, authorization, policies, and access models.
Integrate identity services across on‑premise and cloud environments.
Create and maintain PowerShell automation for provisioning, access reviews, and workflow orchestration.
Diagnose and resolve complex identity‑related incidents across directories, cloud services, and applications.
Support audit and compliance activities while keeping documentation up to date.
Partner with Security, Infrastructure, and Application teams to drive IAM initiatives.
Utilize AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Entra AI, and Sentinel to automate investigations, ticket triage, and security analysis.
Develop AI‑assisted scripts or playbooks that reduce manual effort and improve efficiency.

Skills

Active Directory (GPOs, domain controllers, DNS/DHCP, trusts)
Microsoft Entra / Azure AD identity management
PowerShell scripting for identity automation
Identity governance, federation, SSO, MFA, conditional access
Familiarity with ITSM platforms, preferably ServiceNow
Experience with privileged access tools (e.g., PAM360, CyberArk) – a plus
Hands‑on use of AI‑driven security tools such as Entra ID Protection, Sentinel, Copilot for Security
