Senior Staff Software Engineer, Frontend (Web Infra)

About the role

Affirm is seeking a senior frontend engineer to own and evolve its web platform and infrastructure. You will guide architectural decisions, improve monorepo build performance, and champion AI‑driven tooling to accelerate delivery for a high‑traffic, consumer‑facing finance product.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive the web development strategy across all frontend teams.
• Enhance monorepo build and deployment pipelines for reliability and speed.
• Architect platform tools and standards that ensure consistency and scalability.
• Lead the integration of AI agents to automate workflows and boost developer productivity.
• Design core platform components that enable new features and products.
• Mentor senior engineers and collaborate with architects and product owners.

Eligibility

• 10+ years of experience building large‑scale web applications.
• Proven track record of leading critical technical projects.
• Strong communication and people‑management skills.
• Ability to influence cross‑functional teams and drive architectural change.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with modern web tooling such as React, TypeScript, NX, TurboRepo, RSPack, and Vite.
