About the role

AbhiBus is looking for a Java‑focused Software Engineer to design, develop and maintain high‑performance backend services that power its nationwide bus‑ticketing platform. The role involves end‑to‑end feature ownership, performance optimisation and collaboration with product, design and QA teams.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build and sustain scalable backend APIs using Java/J2EE and Spring Boot.
  • Develop distributed systems, ensuring reliability, scalability and low latency.
  • Own feature lifecycle from design through deployment and monitoring.
  • Write clean, testable code with unit and automation tests.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with product, design and QA to deliver features.
  • Leverage AI‑assisted tools and modern Java AI frameworks for innovative services.

Eligibility

  • 2–5 years of professional backend development experience.
  • Proven ability to work with Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, Kafka and React.
  • Strong grasp of data structures, algorithms and system design.

Skills

  • Java / J2EE, Spring Boot, Kafka, React.
  • Relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB).
  • SQL proficiency, including complex queries, window functions and indexing.
  • Multithreading, memory management and transaction handling.
  • RESTful API development and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with AI‑assisted development tools and cloud‑native CI/CD pipelines.
