About PayU

PayU is the payments and fintech business of Prosus, a global consumer-internet group majority-owned by Naspers, headquartered in Hoofddorp, Netherlands. The company operates payment-gateway, payments-orchestration, and consumer-credit products across more than 50 high-growth markets in Asia, Central and Eastern Europe, Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East. PayU India was launched in 2011 by Nitin Gupta, Narendra Nandal, and Shailaz Nag in partnership with Ibibo Group, and operates as PayU Payments Pvt. Ltd. with its headquarters in Gurugram. The Indian business is among the country's largest payment service providers, processing online payments for hundreds of thousands of merchants across e-commerce, financial services, travel, and digital-services categories. Through subsidiaries, it also runs LazyPay, a buy-now-pay-later and consumer-credit product, and previously operated Wibmo, a payments-security and authentication platform. PayU India has regional offices in Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kolkata, and Shimla in addition to its Gurugram headquarters. Engineering and product hubs in Bengaluru and Gurugram lead platform development for payments, fraud and risk, and consumer-credit systems. Indian fresher hiring at PayU typically targets backend, frontend, mobile, data-engineering, data-science, SRE, and risk-analyst roles, sourced through campus placements at Indian engineering institutes and structured graduate programs.
