About FamPay

FamPay, now operating under the brand FamApp by Trio, is an Indian fintech company headquartered in Bengaluru, Karnataka. Founded in 2019 by IIT Roorkee alumni Sambhav Jain and Kush Taneja, the company builds a payments and prepaid-card application designed specifically for teenagers in India and their parents, with a stated mission of helping a generation become financially aware and independent earlier in life. The FamApp platform enables online and offline payments through UPI and a co-branded prepaid card, including a widely publicised 'numberless' card launched in 2020 that targets young users. Parents can fund their children's accounts, configure spend limits, and monitor transactions, while teenagers gain access to digital payments, in-app rewards, and basic personal-finance tools. The company is backed by investors including Y Combinator, Elevation Capital, Peak XV Partners (formerly Sequoia Capital India), Venture Highway, and Global Founders Capital, alongside angel investors such as Kunal Shah and Amrish Rao. FamApp has grown to more than 15 million users by early 2025 across the parent–teen segment. Indian fresher and early-career hiring at FamPay typically targets backend, frontend, mobile (Android, iOS), data-engineering, product, design, and operations roles, sourced through direct applications, campus referrals, and structured early-career programs at Indian engineering and design institutes.
