The company was founded in 2020 by Arjun Mahadevan and Ilya Ozerets and was an early member of the Y Combinator Summer 2020 batch.
The doola platform packages company formation, registered-agent services, US Employer Identification Number (EIN) registration, US business bank-account introductions, ongoing compliance and bookkeeping, sales-tax tracking, and tax-filing services into subscription tiers aimed at international entrepreneurs, e-commerce sellers, software-as-a-service founders, and freelancers selling to US customers. Higher tiers add bookkeeping software, dedicated tax preparation, and access to advisors.
