About Cadence Design Systems
Cadence Design Systems, Inc. is an American multinational computational software and electronic-design-automation (EDA) company headquartered in San Jose, California. Founded in 1988 through the merger of SDA Systems and ECAD, Inc., the company has been a long-standing leader alongside Synopsys and Siemens EDA in the global EDA industry. Cadence is listed on the NASDAQ under the ticker CDNS and is a constituent of the S&P 500. The Cadence portfolio spans digital and signoff implementation tools (Innovus, Genus, Tempus), custom and analog design (Virtuoso, Spectre), functional verification (Xcelium, Palladium emulation, Protium prototyping, Jasper formal verification), printed-circuit-board and package design (Allegro, OrCAD), system analysis and multiphysics simulation (Clarity, Sigrity, Celsius, Fidelity), and a portfolio of design intellectual-property cores including Tensilica processors. Under its broader Intelligent System Design strategy, Cadence has expanded into AI-driven optimisation, computational fluid dynamics, biopharma molecular simulation, and data-centre and 5G-related computational tools. Cadence India operates large engineering and customer-success centres in Noida, Bengaluru, Pune, and Hyderabad. Indian engineering teams contribute across all major Cadence product lines including digital implementation, custom and analog design, functional verification, IP, and computational software. Indian fresher and early-career hiring at Cadence typically targets software-engineer, R&D-engineer, application-engineer, verification-engineer, and product-engineering roles, sourced through campus placements at Indian Institutes of Technology, NITs, and other engineering institutes.
